All of the over 100,000 items on display in the Museum are gifts to the Society by interested and generous citizens who share the interest in preserving the past for future generations.  Included in the displays are the relics and rare firearms willed to the City of LaPorte by W. A. Jones.  This collection is considered to be the third largest antique firearms collection in the world.  The W. A. Jones Estate has been restored and is now The Arbor Hill Inn & The Guest House, located at 263 West Johnson Road in LaPorte , Indiana .  Curators are ready at all times to answer questions, explain exhibits, and to help with genealogical research.  Conducted tours may be arranged.
